A Weekend of Mastery: The 2024 Kyokushin-kan International Seminar

St. Augustine, Kyokushin-kan Shihan Seyar Azadani joined the Kyokushin-kan family this past week in Tokyo, Japan, for the 2024 Kyokushin-kan International Instructor Seminar. The seminar spawned over three intense, yet rewarding days this past week from December 13 to 15, 2024, showcasing the dedication, skill, and discipline that define Kyokushin-kan Karate.
The 2024 Kyokushin-kan International Seminar
The 2024 International Seminar, brought together Master Instructors and practitioners from around the globe such as Kyokushin-kan International Karate Organization Chairman Kaicho Hatsuo Royama. The Kyokushin-kan family came together to share knowledge, refine techniques, celebrate achievements, and to unite together within the Kyokushin-kan family. The dive into the art’s fundamentals, with a focus on Kata Applications, Naihanchin Katas, Oshiro no Ko, and Sai-jutsu was deep and rewarding. Under the wise guidance of the renowned Okazaki Director, everyone worked with respect and honor to master these advanced techniques, pushing their limits in pursuit of excellence.
An Honorable Final Day: Kyokushin-kan Karate
The final day of the seminar held a great significance. On this day Dan promotions and Shihan examinations took place, showcasing the Kyokushin-kan practitioners’ commitment to the art. This year’s results highlighted remarkable achievements by four dedicated Kyokushin-kan members:
Shihan Nikolay (Bulgaria 🇧🇬)
Obtained his 6th Dan and Kyoshi Shihan.
Sensei Andre (Netherlands 🇳🇱)
5th Dan practitioner, earned the honorable title of Renshi-Shihan.
Sensei Boian (Bulgaria 🇧🇬)
Advanced to the rank of 3rd Dan.
Sensei Pasinddu (Sri Lanka 🇱🇰)
Achieved the rank of 3rd Dan.
Global Unity in Tradition: Kyokushin-Kan Way
This year’s seminar served more than just a training event but served as celebration of the Kyokushin-kan’s global community. Practitioners from diverse backgrounds united under the shared values of discipline, principles, respect, and the relentless pursuit of improvement. They worked together, learned together, ate together, and grew closer together as a family of integrity, resilience and wisdom
As the seminar concluded, participants departed with renewed energy and inspiration. They are ready to carry forward the teachings of Kyokushin-kan into their dojos and communities. Congratulations to all who participated in this sacred space of wisdom and to the newly promoted practitioners. Remember, your achievements and dedications serve as a beacon for others in the martial arts world.
Shihan Seyar Azadani returned home with more wisdom in his soul, love in his heart and greater understanding of the spirit of the Kyokushin way of life.
